Prof.Dr. Bülent Güloğlu

Prof. Güloğlu was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1972. He went on to graduate from Gazi University with a B.S. in Econometrics. He earned an M.S. and a Ph.D.in applied economics, both from Universite de Paris Val de Marne in 1995 and 2001 respectively. After completing his Ph.D., Güloglu became Professor of Economics at the Adnan Menderes University and Pamukkale University from 2001 to 2005 and from 2005 to 2012 respectively. He had been a visiting scholar at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign from 2012 to 2013. He joined Istanbul Technical University, Department of Economics in 2014, where he has been the head of department since 2019 .

His research focuses on the development and application of time series, panel data econometric and machine learning models to areas in economics and finance.
